Exactly what Haringey Council are trying to avoid: bad publicity

This article in the Daily Mail illustrates some of the things that are wrong with Social Services in Haringey Council: a Social Worker who is conscientious gets punished. Meanwhile those who are ruining the Musas’ lives are continuing their malicious activities:

  • refusing consular visits to the High Commission of Nigeria – asking for “evidence” that the children are Nigerian
  • collaborating with Haringey Police to raid their last home with 28 officers after cordoning the road off
  • cooperating with Police to prevent them from talking to Maurice and even seeing him in Magistrates Court when Maurice tried to help the Musas rather than himself.

Americans say “any publicity is good, just spell my name right”. I guess Haringey Council would not agree…
